Minor 7th
Minor triad plus a flat 7th — mellow and jazzy
The minor 7th chord is a tetrad that adds the minor 7th to the minor triad, giving a mellow, jazzy quality. Each major mode contains three minor 7th chords, making it the most common tetrad type. It nests the minor triad and the root & 5th.
